So the drought is over! As I watched the game (and shed tears at the end), I realized that I had been holding my breath for a very, very long time. When friends would ask me “So..do you think you’ll go all the way?” I’d find that where I was once cocky, I was now coy. I was highly reluctant to even talk smack to any other team…which was hard, especially on Twitter where Cowgirl fans kept talking mad junk.
I have to admit…the entire season, something felt *different*. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but after following the team closely, mostly on Twitter and on the Eagles website, it’s like the team just knew what was going to happen.
This makes me wonder how we approach the new season. I love the underdog role. I love that no one likes us. I doubt anyone will still like us next season, but the underdog role is lost. How do we approach it?
Guess I need to figure this one out. In the meantime…. #FlyEaglesFly
